The 2019 Pitt basketball season has just gotten underway but there is already news on next year’s schedule.

The basketball program announced on Thursday that the Panthers will take part in the 2020 Myrtle Beach Invitational, which will be played Nov. 19-22, 2020 at the HTC Center on the campus of Coastal Carolina.

Joining the Panthers in the tournament will be Charlotte, Dayton, Loyola, Missouri, Nebraska, Penn and Utah State.

This will be the third year of the Myrtle Beach Invitational, which is owned and televised by ESPN. This year’s field consists of Baylor, Coastal Carolina, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, Ohio, Tulane, Utah and Villanova.

This year, the Panthers’ holiday tournament trip will be to the Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-Off in Fort Myers, Florida. Pitt’s first game in the tournament was Monday’s win over Monmouth. They will also host Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Thursday before traveling to Fort Myers on Monday when they take on Kansas State, followed by a game on Tuesday against either Northwestern or Bradley.
