Postgame Reaction from Gateway’s WPIAL Championship Victory

NORTH HUNTINGTON TWP., Pa. — The Gateway Gators left the field at Norwin High School rain-soaked, battered and battle-tested.

But by the narrowest of margins, they also emerged as WPIAL championships.

Gateway overcame a cold, driving rain, an injury to star running back Derrick Davis and found a way to come out on the top of a down-to-the-wire battle with Peters Township.
