CYPRESS LAKE, Fla. — More than anything, Pitt head coach Jeff Capel is happy with the way his team stuck together and battled through adversity in a last-minute win against Kansas State on Monday.

“I’ve very, very proud of our guys for showing toughness and grit,” Capel said. “The game wasn’t pretty. It was a hard-fought game. I thought both teams really, really competed.”
