All signs point towards Pitt avoiding some bad news just a few days away from Wednesday’s National Signing Day.
It quietly went under the radar, but the Maryland coaching staff convinced Pitt four-star wide receiver commitment Jordan Addison to make an official visit this weekend.
While it’s never a good thing to have a player that’s committed visiting other programs, the draw of visiting the hometown school got Addison to make a visit. However, the good news for Pitt is that Addison has told PSN that he saw or heard nothing over the weekend that interested him. He said “my heart is still Pitt 100%” and that he will be signing with Pitt on Wednesday.
That’s good news for Pitt because Addison is a highly skilled receiver that has the ability to go up and make the combat catches but and also run away from the defenders. Addison has the ability to come in next season and earn immediate playing time.
Maybe he likes losing games by historically large numbers. Why else go to Maryland?
Rumor has it if you go to Maryland, you get to doodle an addition to their state flag…
Addison, Mack, Shocky, Wayne.
That’s solid.
Pickett will be a senior with another year under Whipple.
4 offensive linemen return including Morrissey. Could be a much improved offense to go along with that top 10 Defense.
That’s at least what the Pitt fan at heart has me believing.
Next year could be the breakout year.
