Watch: Pat Narduzzi’s Quick Lane Bowl Press Conference

Published

on

DETROIT — To cap his fifth season as Pitt’s head football coach, Pat Narduzzi finally has a bowl win.

After losses in the 2015 Military Bowl, 2016 Pinstripe Bowl and 2018 Sun Bowl, Narduzzi finally broke through with a closer-than-expected 34-30 victory over Eastern Michigan in the 2019 Quick Lane Bowl.

Though much of the story coming in was Narduzzi’s return to Michigan, where he coached from 2007-14, his 0-3 record as a head coach in bowl games and Pitt’s six-year bowl victory drought, he wanted the victory to be about the players on the field.

“Wins are wins,” Narduzzi said. “I’m happy for these guys. … I’m proud of these guys. I’m happy for them.”

Hear more from Narduzzi, quarterback Kenny Pickett and safety Damar Hamlin from the Quick Lane Bowl post-game press conference.

Eastern Michigan stunned by Pitt, 34-30 in Quick Lane Bowl, Detroit Free Press. Sounds kinda nice.

As Bob Prince used to say,
“We had ’em all the way!”

If this Pitt team can start playing with focus the entire game, they have a chance at being a really good team next year. But dropped passes, poor blocking, penalties, and blown coverage has killed them this year.
We need to keep V. Davis in the game A LOT more next year. H2P
