For most of the 2019-20 season, Jeff Capel has relied heavily on Xavier Johnson, Trey McGowens and Justin Champagnie for the Panthers scoring on did so again tonight.
In fact, that trio accounted for 63 of the teams 73 total points as Pitt went to the Dean Dome and outscored North Carolina by 17 points in the 2nd half to win, 73-65.
PSN’s Mitchell Northam was in Chapel Hill and in the victorious Panther locker room for postgame interviews.
Guys (X especially) really stepping up and taking ownership for the Wake game and commenting how they need to play as a team is huge.I think they’re finally starting to get it and that looms large moving forward.Although, we just had a huge road win why did they need to be reminded of the Wake loss?
I agree. The Wake game is over with. This team hasn’t arrived yet so it’s not an unexpected loss.
