Pitt has added another talented player to their 2020 roster and once again it’s a walk-on.

After considering scholarship offers from FCS programs, quarterback Logan Clouse from Hun School in Princeton, New Jersey has accepted Pitt’s offer as a preferred walk-on. Clouse joins Cam Guess (Belle Vernon), Gusty Sunseri (Central Catholic), William King (Holland, Michigan), Anthony Priore (Baldwin), Thomas Nealis (Miller Place, New York) and Jehvonn Lewis (Bethel Park) as Pitt walk-ons for 2020.

”I am extremely excited to be able to call myself a Pitt Panther,” Clouse said to PSN. “Playing Division I football has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. Coach [Pat] Narduzzi has given me a great opportunity to be apart of an amazing program and reach my full potential as a quarterback in the next 4-5 years. I can’t wait to get started.”

Clouse (6-foot-3, 210 pounds) is a four year starter at quarterback and finished the 2019 season with some impressive statistics: 111 for 163 (68%) for 1,992 yards, 21 touchdowns and a 144 quarterback rating.

Clouse had other scholarships opportunities at schools such as Eastern Kentucky, Morehead State, Bucknell. Why was Pitt the right choice for him?

“Pitt’s coaching staff, tradition, fan base, and facilities combined with great academics and an awesome city made my decision very easy,” said Clouse. “Coach Whipple is a great coach with a ton of experience and I’m very excited about playing and learning from him. On my visit I just felt at home, I had that gut feeling. Can’t wait to get to work and contribute to this team anyway I can.”

Clouse will become the third quarterback from New Jersey on the Panthers roster joining Kenny Pickett and Nick Patti. He also has a solid relationship with Pickett as the two of them train under the same coach in quarterback guru Tony Racioppi at TEST Football Academy in Martinsville, New Jersey.

Come fall, Pitt will have a full quarterback depth chart with Pickett, Patti, Joey Yellen, Davis Beville, Eli Kosanovich and Clouse.
