The recruitment of Massachusetts senior guard Femi Odukale is heating up as more teams are getting involved, and a new official visit has been scheduled.

Springfield Commonwealth Academy head coach Nick Couluris told Pittsburgh Sports Now that Odukale will make an official visit to Pitt the weekend of Feb. 21-23.

“Yes. We have been in communication (with Pitt) over the past week for sure,” Couluris said to PSN. “He is considering other schools and we all fully expect offers to at least double within the next week or so. Femi wants to keep all options open, doesn’t want to rush the process but he realized Pitt checks off a lot of his boxes, which is why he felt comfortable taking the visit.”

In terms of news teams that are calling about Odukale, his coach said that Xavier, VCU, Oklahoma and Indiana have all reached out recently. Odukale holds offers from Pitt, Seton Hall, Virginia Tech, Washington State, UMass and Saint Bonaventure.

Odukale is an elite defender that can play three positions, but Jeff Capel is recruiting him as a point guard.
