Die-Hards: Pitt Commit Max Amadasun Shows Skills in Pittsburgh

MIDLAND, Pa. — 2020 Pitt basketball commit Max Amadasun was in Pittsburgh for the weekend and was a busy man. He was in attendance at the Petersen Events Center on Saturday afternoon for the Panthers’ win over Georgia Tech.

Later that night, he laced up his sneakers for his high school team, Our Saviour Lutheran (OSL) from Brooklyn, New York, and played against Hickory High School in Hermitage Pa. In OSL’s 80-64 win over Hickory, Amadasun recorded 20 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks.

Then less than 24 hours later, Amadasun was in another battle on the hardwood against Andrews Academy (Ohio) at Lincoln Park High School in Midland, Pa., on Sunday night. Andrews Academy had a duo of big men in 6-foot-8 Keon Andrews (Alabama commit) and 6-foot-11 center Charles Bediako, who is receiving interest from schools such as Ohio and St. Bonaventure.

The 6-foot-10 Amadasun started off the game a little shaky but settled in throughout the second half.
