Michigan State running back Connor Heyward will return to the Spartans despite entering his name in the transfer portal.
Pitt was one of the schools that had been interested in adding Heyward, the son of Pitt legend Craig “Ironhead” Heyward and younger brother of Steelers defensive lineman Cameron Heyward, as a graduate transfer for the 2020 season.
“It has been a long process, but I know this is home in my heart,” Connor Heyward wrote on Twitter in his announcement.
