Pitt’s recruiting presence in Virginia continues to show results as a junior linebacker lists the Panthers has one of his finalists.
2021 3-star outside linebacker Zemarion Harrell (Virginia Beach, Virginia), who’s been offered by over 24 programs, has released a top six and it included Pitt. Harrell other five finalists were Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Virginia and Louisville.
Harrell, who received the offer from Pitt last spring, is familiar with the Pitt program having already visited them twice and chief recruiter is Chris Beatty. Harrell attends Salem High School, which is a place that Beatty previously coached at.
PSN caught up with Harrell to get his thoughts on Pitt and what got them in his final six.
”Pitt is a great school. I enjoy the energy of the team and all of the great success that the school, team and coaches bring.” Harrell tells PSN. “I made Pitt one of my top six because I can see myself going to that school. I love all the values that the school brings.”
Another big reason that Harrell is considering Pitt is because of Beatty, someone’s that recruited him for two years.
“My relationship with Coach Beatty is great. We talk quite a lot and he is a great coach.”
Harrell will have a chance to talk with Beatty and the other Pitt coaches in the near future as he’s planning to make another visit this spring.
