The month of June has been an important one the last two years for Pat Narduzzi as his program has used that month to host various recruits on their official visits.

In fact, Pitt received commitments from 10 players during the month of June last year.

That’ll once again be done this year but they’ll also be hosting an out of state recruit on an unofficial visit too.

2021 3-star cornerback Javon Bullard from Baldwin High School in Milledgeville, Georgia tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he’ll travel to Pittsburgh on June 20 for an unofficial visit. Bullard is getting recruited to Pitt by Panthers defensive backs coach Archie Collins and also holds offers from Auburn, NC State, Virginia and West Virginia.

Bullard is another example of Pitt’s push to land talent from Georgia as last year they received commitments from 4-star safety Rashad Battle (Fairburn, Georgia), 3-star cornerback Hunter Sellers (College Park, Georgia) and 4-star wide receiver Jaylon Barden (Macon, Georgia).

Next month, 2022 linebacker Jaron Willis will make an unofficial visit to Pitt and on Wednesday, Pitt extended an offer to 2021 4-star quarterback Aaron McLaughlin (6’5″, 205) from Alpharetta, Georgia.

It’s about time Pitt started to lay the groundwork down south. I grew up in Beaver County,PA and now reside in west Georgia. I certainly appreciate the local talent, but GA is a recruiting hotbed and playing in the ACC Pitt needs to attack and take advantage….
