PITTSBURGH — Demetrius Thomas capped off his career on Pitt’s campus with his second straight ACC title on Sunday.
“Meech” used his prowess in neutral to defeat Deonte Wilson of NC State 5-4 in the title bout, scoring an early take down and maintaining the lead throughout.

After transferring from an NAIA school in Missouri, Thomas was completely unknown in the Division-I world. He quickly made a name for himself at Pitt and is now a two-time ACC champion, and will likely be seeded in the top 10 at the 2020 NCAA Tournament.
