It’s heartbreaking to college basketball fans that we won’t have a March Madness this season due to the coronavirus outbreak. It’s a time that even non-basketball fans enjoyed watching due to the excitement of the games and filling out their March Madness brackets.
Pitt’s season ended on Thursday with a loss to NC State and with a record of 16-17, the Panthers weren’t heading to the postseason anyway.
But depending on who the Panthers are able to add and who decides to leave, Pitt will have a realistic chance next season to return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016.
