The Robert Morris men’s basketball program is trying to get involved with a player that recently entered the NCAA basketball transfer portal.

Pittsburgh Sports Now has confirmed that Robert Morris has reached out to former South Florida freshman forward B.J. Mack, who announced at the end of the season that he was leaving the Bulls basketball program.

Coming off the bench in 19 games, Mack averaged 2.1 points, 1.2 rebounds in 7.6 minutes per game. Most of Mack’s playing time occured during South Florida’s non-conference schedule.

The 6’8″ forward was a 3-star recruit coming out of Oak Hill Academy and choose South Florida over offers from Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, DePaul, Georgia, NC State, Saint Louis, George Mason, East Carolina and others.

Since announcing his decision to transfer, Mack has received plenty of interest and says that he will announce his new list of Top 7 schools on his birthday, April 11.

Mack would have to sit the 2020-21 season and have three seasons of athletic eligibility remaining. However, he would be eligible immediately if the NCAA passes the one-time transfer rule for all athletes.
