Kennedy Catholic Alum Oscar Tshiebwe Enters NBA Draft, Retains NCAA Eligibility

Kennedy Catholic alum and star West Virginia freshman Oscar Tshiebwe, has entered his name for the 2020 NBA draft, he announced on Twitter on Wednesday.

Tshiebwe submitting his name to the draft means that he can be evaluated and scouted as a possible draft prospect. Unless Tshiebwe signs with an agent, he will be able to return to WVU for his remaining three years of eligibility if he chooses not to enter the draft.

The date for prospects to enter their names into the draft is 60 days prior to the day of the draft. The 2020 NBA draft is scheduled for June 25, meaning the deadline for early entry is April 26.

Tshiebwe can stay in consideration for the draft and retain college eligibility until June 15, the final day for early entrants to withdraw from the draft.

A 6-foot-9 forward, Tshiebwe started 31 games for the Mountaineers, averaging 11.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, leading WVU in both categories.

He is a fierce competitor. I saw him play against Pitt.
I wonder how much $ it would take for him to go professional.
