Die-Hards: Update on Pitt Priority 4-Star Wing William Jeffress

With two spots still to fill in their 2020 recruiting class, Erie four-star recruit William Jeffress remains the top priority for Jeff Capel and Pitt.

Jeffress is still considering 10 programs (Pitt, Baylor, Penn State, Stanford, Memphis, Villanova, Notre Dame, Virginia, Northwestern and Vanderbilt) and is going through the process of doing video interviews with many of his finalists. For weeks, Pittsburgh Sports Now has been reporting that Jeffress planned on making his decision near mid-May.

This morning Tipton Edits reported that Jeffress will be making his decision in the next couple of weeks so we asked his father, Bill Jeffress, about this reported moved up timeline.

“I didn’t have that discussion, but that still puts us at May 15 or before,” said Jeffress.

Does he anticipate his son making a decision in April or May?

“If not at the end of April at least by the first week of May, no pressure, that is why I say May 15 or ASAP. Still grinding.”

As for our thoughts on which school Jeffress will select?
