Robinson, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound athlete, played wide receiver and free safety for Brashear in 2019 and was also a small forward on the Bulls’ basketball team.
The Pitt offer is his second overall. William & Mary was the first to offer Robinson back in October.
Pitt has already offered at least 16 players in the Class of 2023, but Robinson is the first local player that they have reached out to with a scholarship opportunity. Robinson and Laurel Highlands two-sport star Rodney Gallagher are the only local freshmen that have received Division I scholarship offers thus far.
Pitt landed the top-rated player from the City League and one of the top players in the entire state in 2020 defensive linemen Dayon Hayes. Before that, the Panthers landed Brashear’s Therran Coleman in the Class of 2016. Coleman recently transferred to Central Michigan for his graduate season.
