Class of 2021 Beaver Falls running back and linebacker Josh Hough has committed to Syracuse, he announced on Twitter on Monday night.
Hough, a 6-foot-1, 248-pound, three-star prospect, chose the Orange over offers from Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Coastal Carolina, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Kentucky, Pitt and Toledo.
βThe college football recruiting process has been an amazing ride for me,β Hough wrote on Twitter. βI want to thank every coach who believed in me enough to extend me an offer to play at the next level.β
He recently received his offer from Pitt on April 16. Instead, Hough will spend his four years in the ACC with the Orange, playing against the Panthers as Pittβs permanent crossover rivalry game. Syracuse was the first Power Five school to extend Hough an offer.
Hough is the sixth WPIAL player in the Class of 2021 to commit to a school, joining Peters Township linebacker Corban Hondru (Miami University), Pine-Richland offensive lineman Harrison Hayes (Liberty), Plum lineman Evan Azzara (Miami University), Union guard Aaron Gunn (Louisville) and West Mifflin defensive end Nahki Johnson (Pitt).
