Pat Narduzzi has plenty of intriguing freshman joining the roster this season including a speedster from Georgia.
Jaylon Barden was one of the first members of Pitt’s Class of 2020, as he verbally committed to the Panthers back on April 27. Barden had a tremendous senior season at Westside High school, catching 68 passes for 1,234 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Barden opened plenty of peoples eyes with that performance including national scouting services as 247 Sports elevated him to a 4-Star Composite Recruit. He also was getting recruited heavily by Virginia Tech and Tennessee but kept his commitment to Archie Collins and Pitt.
Pittsburgh Sports Now caught up with Barden, who’s still at his home in Macon, Georgia, who is ready to come to his new home in Pittsburgh. Barden updates us on what he’s up to, the communication he’s having with the Pitt staff and what he plans on bringing to the Pitt offense. Here’s a little hint, he plans on making a major contribution this season.
