Robert Morris Offers Kiski Prep 2022 Guard Chris Moncrief

Robert Morris is trying to get in early with one of the top sophomore talents in Western Pennsylvania.

The Colonials staff extended an offer Thursday night to Class of 2022 wing Chris Moncrief from Kiski Prep and Wildcat Select AAU. Robert Morris and Andy Toole became Moncrief’s second Division I offer, along with dozens of other teams that are in contact with him.

“I got the offer from my AAU coach, who called me around 7:30 and then a Robert Morris coach, who was on the call, also talked to me about the offer. I felt very thankful and blessed to receive the offer from them,” said Moncrief.

”I’ve been to the Robert Morris campus a bunch of times and the school is very nice. I like Coach Toole, he’s a good coach and like the way he runs his program. I first visited Robert Morris during my freshman season when I played in a summer league tournament there with my high school team and that’s when I started following them and connecting with them.”

Last season for Kiski Prep, Moncrief averaged 14 points and six rebounds per game while shooting 51% from the field, which was tops on his team.

“I would say that I’m really strong going to the hoop,” Moncrief told PSN. “I can finish in contact and believe that I’m a good playmaker and am a unselfish player. I have a good mid-range game and am working to improve on my 3-point shooting.

”Honesty, I wasn’t sure that all of this would be happening this soon. I’m just very thankful that as a sophomore I’m getting D-I offers and interest. All of this is going to be great motivation for me to keto working hard and keep grinding.”
