Although it’s taking longer than most people want, professional and college sports are on track to return in the very near future.
Next Monday, members of the Pitt Panther football team will begin meeting for voluntary off-field workouts as a way to start preparation for training camp, which could get underway in August, if the season starts on-time in September.
With spring practice getting wiped except for three sessions out due to COVID-19, the fall will be the first real chance the Pitt coaches will get a chance to see some of the new faces and how they might fit in with their plans for 2020.
Pat Narduzzi was able to add plenty of speed and athleticism in his Class of 2020 along with a tight end that could help out Kenny Pickett and the passing game.
