The attempted flipping of Pitt’s Top 25 2021 Recruiting Class continues as an SEC power tries to get involved.
Virginia defensive end Trevion Stevenson receives an offer Tuesday night from Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators.
This latest offer can be added to other ones he’s received from schools like Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Penn State, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA and West Virginia.
Stevenson has been a very vocal supporter of Pitt since committing and he tells PSN that won’t change despite major programs continuing to pursue him.
“Pitt has nothing to worry about with my commitment because I am all in with them,” Stevenson told PSN. “I’m 1000% committed to them and they will always be number one to me. My reaction to these new offers is that I’m just blessed, that’s all I can say and I earned them.
“No one can change my mind on Pitt. I’m forever a Panther and yes I tell the other coaches I’m committed when they try to offer me! I talk to the Pitt coaches everyday and they know I’m all in with them so they don’t really care to ask about any other teams trying to recruit me because they know where I stand with them!”
As he awaits the start of his senior season, Stevenson has been working daily to get bigger, stronger and faster. It’s very apparent, Stevenson has a goal to be great and is doing everything possible to make that happen.
“I just love to work and improve my skill and make myself better and great,” said Stevenson. “My dad always told me you won’t be great overnight you have to work for anything and everything so I stuck with what he told me and ran with it ! I work, work work until I can’t no more or until I feel like I improved myself in some way that day! I have to outwork all of my opponents and all of my competition, I’m very competitive! I like to work harder than anyone else.”
