While most of the heavy work is completed for recruiting in Pitt’s Class of 2021, the coaching staff has already laid the foundation for next year.

Despite not having the opportunity to host or the ability to evaluate players in person, the Panthers staff has already extended offers to over 175 players in the Class of 2022.

Pitt is once again casting a wide net in terms of recruiting players from many different states. Right now, offers have been extended to players in 17 different states.

It should come as no surprise as to which state Pitt has extended the most offers to but the second leading state may surprise you. Here’s a breakdown of the most offers by state.

Breaking down the offers even more, here’s a look at which positions the Pitt staff have targeted the most.

Here are a couple of other things to mention:

*Of the 175+ offers, Pitt have offered 41 players that are rated as 4-star recruits and 4 that are rated as 5-star recruits.

*Although 17 Pennsylvania players in the Class of 2022 have gotten Pitt offers, none of them are from Western Pennsylvania and 10 of them are from Philadelphia.

*Since the quarterback position is something fans always monitor closely, here are the 6 QB’s that already have Pitt offers: Drew Allar (Medina, Ohio), Bryce Archie (Powder Springs, Georgia), Henry Belin IV (Bronx, New York), Peter Delaportas (Sparta, New Jersey), Sam Horn (Suwanee, Georgia) and Conner Weigman (Bridgeland, Texas).

*States with single digit offers: Texas (3), Delaware (2), Michigan (2), Kansas (1), Connecticut (1), Massachusetts (1), South Carolina (1) and North Carolina (1).
