In normal times, high school football teams across the country would be going through conditioning and team workouts leading up to the start of camp later this month or at the start of August.
Unfortunately as we all know by now, nothing is normal about what’s going on in our country so the future of high school sports in 2020 is unknown.
If your high school team is currently working out or getting ready to start depends on the part of the country that you live in. According to a report on Wednesday, it appears as though high school football in Virginia could be moved to the winter or spring.
In terms of the WPIAL and other leagues in Pennsylvania, football is on for now but that will ultimately be decided by the government leaders in Harrisburg.
Pittsburgh Sports Now is looking to hear from you as we’re looking to make a post and need your help. If you’re a team in Pennsylvania or you’re a player that’s currently committed to Pitt, we’re looking for your help. 1) are currently practicing or working out in preparation for the season. 2) let us know the high school and where you’re from. 3) send us a picture of practice or a workout.
