2021 Georgia Athlete James Ziglor to Visit Pitt On Friday

James Ziglor is someone that Archie Collins and Pitt have recruited and remained in contact with for much of 2020.

The relationship between these two will take a new step this weekend as Ziglor and his family will make the drive from Kennesaw, Georgia to make their first ever visit to Pittsburgh.

This visit by Ziglor isn’t coordinated with the football program and won’t be hosted by any of the coaches. He did the same thing last weekend to Vanderbilt and wants to do the same with Pitt before making his decision.

This trip became a priority for Ziglor after receiving an official offer over the weekend from Pitt. This official offer was important and meant a lot to him.

”I was very happy and it was kind of like being re-offered,” Ziglor told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “I was excited because it’s a real offer. It’s a sign that a school really wants you because a lot of schools verbally offer you but when it comes time to commit, they’ll be like ‘Nah’. Nothing has changed with Pitt, they still want me as a defensive back and want me in their program.”

”I’ve been trying to see as many campuses as I can in person. Obviously, we can’t see Coach Narduzzi or Coach Collins in person but we’ll talk and be in touch. I think Coach Collins is going to send me a map of the city and the campus and make sure I see all the main points.”

Ziglor and his dad will be in town on Friday and Saturday and they’ve come up with a list of things they want to see.

”I want to get a feel of the city and of the campus. I want to know in person if I could see myself going there, that’s the real question. What’s the environment like, what are the people like, the weather, stuff like that,” said Ziglor.

It’s important for Pitt that Ziglor is making this trip because he tells me that he plans on making his decision within the next two weeks.
