Louis Riddick has always been considered a rising star in the media and that was confirmed today with his appointment to one of the highest profile media positions in sports.
The former Pitt defensive back was officially named to ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcasting crew.
Riddick will join Steve Levy and former Michigan and Denver Broncos quarterback Brian Griese in the booth. The trio will make their debut on September 14 as the Tennessee Titans take on the Denver Broncos.
Riddick was hired by ESPN in 2013 and has held many different roles including weekly NFL analysis on their different platforms, NFL Draft Coverage and added college football game analyst to his busy schedule.
After graduating from Pitt as a 4-year letterman and a two-time Academic All-American, Riddick was drafted in the 9th round by the San Francisco 49ers in 1991. Riddick went on to have a 7-year career with the 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns and Raiders.
I’m so glad for him. He’s a hell of a great guy!!! He is what Pitt is all about, and great at his job. H2P
