ESPN’s College GameDay hasn’t appeared at Heinz Field in 15 years, but could that long drought end this year?
As college football gets ready to start up in a few weeks, networks are finalizing their television schedules along with pregame show locations.
With the Big 10 and Big 12 conferences not playing this fall, College GameDay has been forced to find alternate venues.
With this change in scheduling, could the ESPN crew make an appearance at Heinz Field for a Pitt game?
247 Sports ran a story on Thursday speculating on the weekly schedule for College GameDay and they’re predicting that they will be coming to the North Shore.
In their week by week predictions, 247 Sports foresees College GameDay coming into town for Pitt’s Week 8 against Notre Dame. Ironically, the last time Pitt received this level of national exposure was when they hosted Notre Dame in 2005 for Dave Wannstedt’s Pitt coaching debut.
Calm down they aren’t coming.
