The reset of the college football season has caused many changes including some big ones to the initial preseason rankings. With the Big 10 and Pac-12’s opting to not play football in the fall, various media outlets have had to re-adjust their initial rankings for the 2020 season.
Yahoo Sports released their new Top 25 rankings Thursday morning and the Pitt Panthers found themselves included in this grouping.
Pat Narduzzi’s team comes in at #23 in the Yahoo Sports Preseason Top 25 Rankings.
In case you were wondering, Nov. 18, 2018 was the last time Pitt found themselves ranked. The 7-4 Panthers were ranked No. 24 and coming off their Coastal Division clinching win over Wake Forest. Pitt then lost to Miami the next week and fell off the Top 25.
