PSN Poll: Revised 2020 Pitt Football Record Prediction

Published

on

Many things have changed over the past month for Pat Narduzzi and his football program.

The Panthers will have to play the 2020 season without arguably their best player in All-American defensive candidate Jaylen Twyman. It was also reveled on Tuesday, that Randy Bates will need to replace starting cornerback Damarri Mathis, who suffered a non-football injury at is out for the season.

Pitt also was dealt an unfortunate break when the ACC shuffled schedules and Pitt picked up a game at Clemson to go along with others against Miami (Fla.), Florida State, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech. With the change in the 2020 ACC schedule, Pitt lost three opponents with a 2019 record of 21-18 and added 4 opponents with a 2019 record of 32-21. Pitt also lost non-conference games against Marshall and Miami (Ohio).

It goes without saying that Pitt’s 2020 record has gotten more challenging.

2020 Schedule:
Austin Peay
Syracuse
Louisville
NC State
at Boston College
at Miami, FL
Notre Dame
at Florida State
at Georgia Tech
Virginia Tech
at Clemson

With that in mind, our PSN Poll question for you is, what now is your prediction for Pitt’s 2020 record?

What will Pitt's record be during the 2020 college football regular season?

I suppose it went right over your head that all ACC teams get two bye weeks to deal with a short trading season and Covid. But the ACC saw the need to only schedule one for them. No, a off week to end the season does not count. Here is to NC State getting another Covid outbreak and their game against PITT gets moved to the week following Clemson.

8-3. Loss @ Miami and Clemson.
Upset Notre Dame for their cute yearly upset they’ll live off. And then of course lose a game they shouldn’t.
