The ACC has enhanced its COVID-19 protocol for the 2020 fall sports season, the league announced on Friday, specifically increasing the amount of testing and more screening for cardiac issues.
The updated standard call for members of ACC football, field hockey, soccer and volleyball teams to be tested three times each week beginning with their first week of competition this fall. One molecular, or PCR, test must be given within three days of each competition. In football, one test must be performed the day before the contest and another test must be administered within 48 hours of the conclusion of each game. The pre-game test will be given by a third party selected by the league office.
Any student athlete that tests positive must undergo a cardia evaluation, including an echocardiogram, electrocardiogram and a troponin test before returning to play.
The new protocols also call for eliminating all non-essential personnel from the sidelines on game days.

Additionally, the molecular tests are even more false because there is no way to purify test a virus. Yes, I am in the medical… Read more »
