Football recruits across the country were anxiously awaiting the clock to strike midnight as their college recruiting became official.

September 1st is the day that college coaches are officially allowed to start making contact and recruiting players via text messages, direct messages, e-mails and letters. This is an important and exciting time for players as they start to see which programs will possibly have interest in recruiting them over the next couple of seasons.
