Pitt vs. NC State on Oct. 3 to Kick Off at Noon on ACC Network

Published

Pitt and NC State will kick off from Heinz Field at noon on Saturday, Oct. 3 and be broadcast on ACC Network, the league announced on Monday.

It will be Pitt’s third straight noon kickoff time and the fourth game in a row that the Panthers will be broadcast on ACC Network. The ESPN-run channel, which is in its second season, is not available to many Pittsburgh-area cable subscribers because of a lack of a deal with Comcast, the region’s top cable provider.

While Pitt’s first three games at Heinz Field will be played without fans, the team has not made an announcement about a potential fan policy for games beyond the end of September, meaning the game with the Wolfpack could potentially see fans in the stands at Heinz Field.

Pitt is 5-4-1 all-time against NC State and 0-1 against the Wolfpack as an ACC opponent after losing 35-17 at Heinz Field in 2017.

NC State is 1-0 after beating Wake Forest, 45-42 on Saturday to open its season. The Wolfpack will visit Virginia Tech this Saturday. That game will be broadcast on ACC Network at 8 p.m.

No. 21 Pitt will host No. 24 Louisville at Heinz Field this Saturday, at noon on ACC Network.
