After having their fall football season canceled, the Robert Morris athletic department is busy scheduling games for the spring of 2021, and the Colonials have scheduled a game with one of the top programs in all of FCS.
Greg Madia of the Daily News Record is reporting that Robert Morris will travel to take on the James Madison Dukes. The game is scheduled to be played on Saturday, Feb. 27.
The two programs have only played once and in that game in 2018, James Madison overwhelmed the Colonials, 73-7. The Dukes scored 52 points in the first half and collected 667 yards of total offense.
The Colonials are coming off a 7-5 season in their second under new head coach Bernard Clark, for their best finish since 2010. Robert Morris left the Northeast Conference in July, leaving for the non-football Horizon League. The football team will be joining the Big South Conference.
The Robert Morris athletic department was not able to confirm this report.
They better batten down the hatches.
