The Central Valley football program is one of the most talented in the WPIAL. Mark Lyons’ roster is loaded with Division I talent, led by senior three-star safety Stephon Hall, who’s already committed to Pitt.
Thursday night, the Panthers officially started the recruitment of another one of the Warriors young stars as they officially offered Class of 2022 defensive tackle Sean FitzSimmons.

This becomes FitzSimmons first Power Five offer and he becomes the second WPIAL player in the Class of 2022 to receive an offer from Pitt, joining Gateway DB Patrick Body Jr.
PSN caught up with FitzSimmons after he got the news. He told us that he first was talking with Charlie Partridge, who hinted an offer could be coming and then he officially got the news from Dave Borbely.
“Yeah, this offer means a lot,” said FitzSimmons. “They are my first Power Five offer and they were my hometown team I grew up cheering for so it means a lot. It’s great to have the opportunity to play in my backyard. I’m extremely excited to get the offer!”
This is all good but wouldn’t it be great if we were this aggressive in recruiting some quality O-linemen? We need them more than any other position on this team. Hopefully we are but just not hearing about it.
