The Pitt Panthers now find themselves at 3-3 following their 31-19 loss to Miami, which is their 3rd consecutive loss.
It doesn’t get any easier for Pat Narduzzi’s team as they host Notre Dame next Saturday at Heinz Field.
Pitt played without starting quarterback Kenny Pickett but what did Pitt in was their inability to score in the red zone, too many penalties and big plays allowed.
Here’s the reaction on Twitter to another Panther loss.
It’s starts at the top. 6 years is plenty. Poor recruiting with Offensive line, running backs and receivers(except Addison). Discipline issue. Miami is far from from a great team. Somethings got to change. Program is on a hamster wheel.

Completely undisciplined. No running game in two years after 2 years with no passing game. It all starts at the top yet he takes no responsibility again.

It’s one thing to be a mediocre program. Pitt is. It’s another thing to be mediocre and your head coach and ungodly amount to be mediocre. Acknowledge the program will never be consistently good and pay the HC a lot less. Or move on from Duzz and open the check book for a new HC.

Narduzzi thinks coaching is playing stupid games like he did with Pickett this week. He also listed Izzy as backup for the first time without an “or” and he didn’t make the trip. Congrats Pat. You out coached them alright.

Lyke and the chancellor are about as inept as it gets. The school could care less about athletics, that’s why they hired Lyke. Pitt was a laughing stock when they brought her onboard

The “nobody respects us; it’s us against the world” mantra can work once, maybe twice. But after failing to deliver so many winnable games – like the last 3, for example – over a six year period, he should be shown the door.

Does Pitt own a jugs machine? I’d be willing to donate one.
— Capel Faithful (@CapelFaithful) October 17, 2020
Make the changes now! Don't see any reason to wait. Narduzzi needs to man up and alter "his" coaching staff.
— E-Fire (@EvanFirestone) October 17, 2020
Hey, should we still respect Pitt? Are they tired of being disrespected? How dare we underestimate Pitt!

Campbell on three straight losses:
"We had a lot of hopes for this season. We would have never expected to lose three in a row. I’m still in shock over it."
— Alan Saunders (@ASaunders_PGH) October 17, 2020
Duzz on why Sibley didn’t get more PT after starting:
“I don’t make the calls on offense. … I wasn’t sure why or what. … Maybe he should have gotten some more carries."
— Alan Saunders (@ASaunders_PGH) October 17, 2020
From the life comes at you fast sept: 2 weeks ago Pitt was undefeated with 2 mins to go against NCSU. Now? 3-3 with a sked where anything better than 6-5 would be remarkable

No touchdowns sink Pitts offense https://t.co/vEKXbjbLq5

Pitt should not have fired Dave Wannstedt.

Mark Whipple might be one of the worst play caller’s in all of college football. And I think it’s time to say that The defensive scheme doesn’t work. 3-3 but should be 5-1. Pitt will be Pitt #ImSad
— Evan Diulus (@Evan_Diulus) October 17, 2020
Whipple is bad. He should be gone. Pitt’s defensive scheme requires NFL-level talent throughout the entire secondary. When they don’t have it, it falters.
This team is more talented than 3-3. That’s the worst part of it all

The consistency of Pitt doing Pitt things is genuinely impressive.

So let me get this straight penalties, dropped passses, more penalties. Typical Saturday afternoon with Pitt’s offense.
— Carlo Veltri (@vetchy119) October 17, 2020
I thought Joey Yellen did a good job today. Drops, penalties, and lackluster play calling and creativity hurt them again. Run game is gone. Watch film on Sunday and prepare for Notre Dame.

Good Lord is Pitt hard to watch right now.
The flip side is that @JColony13 should be gold on an old school Panther Hotline-style postgame show.
— Chris Mack (@THEChrisMack) October 17, 2020
All alone with only my dear friend TV to see it, I literally just shook my head in disappointment at Pitt.
— Dave Dameshek (@Dameshek) October 17, 2020
Manny Diaz “it’s a attitude, it’s a toughness, that’s 3 years we held them in the red zone, and only let them in one time” @Pitt_FB was 1 for 5 today in the Red zone. Running the football is an attitude, it’s toughness…

Pitt is paying Pat Narduzzi $4 million.

Whipple and Borbs can bounce at any time.
