Pitt Postgame Show: What Changes Need Made After Pitt’s Embarrassing Loss?

Published

on

Ugly. Embarrassing. Those are the adjectives that feel appropriate when describing Pitt’s 45-3 loss to Notre Dame, especially in the context of this entire 2020 season.

Pittsburgh Sports Now’s Mike Vukovcan unleashes his thoughts on the state of the program and what changes need to happen when he joined Mike Asti on this edition of Pittsburgh Postgame on Pittsburgh Sports Live.

With a bye week on the horizon, is it the time to make some major moves? Should Pat Narduzzi be fired? Will Pat Narduzzi be fired? Which assistant goes first? Why should fans care the rest of this season? Who are Mike and Mike’s picks to take over the Pitt job if Narduzzi is let go?

If Whipple is fired now then Narduzzi has a shot at saving his job.
Whipple needs to go now and Narduzzi can be re-evaluated at the end of the season, but I would be looking now at a dynamic coach and recruiter to replace Narduzzi at the end of the season if he doesn’t turn it around.
And if Lyke doesn’t make sure of the above she should be gone too!

Narduzzi has to go. I can’t blame the players but so much. I’m sure Vincent Davis is trying his best but they insist on trying to run a 175 lb behind an offensive line that gets no push. Todd Sibley can’t get any run, neither can D. Carter. They put Beeville in for one series. They have a middle linebacker who should be playing outside. The secondary has massive communication issues every week. The team is wholly undisciplined. All of these issues are coaching related.

Agreed! Narduzzi needs to step up and leave and take a buyout!!! He needs to admit he is over his head, and he just isn’t HC material. Whipple and whomever coaches the receivers is pathetic. Stupid penalties, dropped balls, secondary issues, LB play, OL, and on and on.
I have a lot of faith in our A.D. Heather Lyke, so I think she will make the right choice.
H2P!!!

Is Partridge not a potential HC? I dont like Narduzzi but I’m not seeing a potential guy out there that can come in and make it much better. If the offense can become a decent offense the team is much better. I feel the defense just quit this week. They are tired of carrying the team. Get rid of the offensive staff. Put money into it. Keep Narduzzi at least another yr until there are some quality candidates. IF Narduzzi must go now pit Partridge in charge until the end of the yr.
