Although things can obviously change because of COVID-19, the 2020-21 college football bowl schedule was released on Friday afternoon. The bowl season will officially kickoff on December 19 with the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl and will conclude with the College Football National Championship Game on January 11 in Miami.
Seven bowls have been postponed this year, which includes the inaugural Fenway Bowl, which was slated to take place in Boston between teams from the AAC and ACC Conference. This will now debut in 2021. Also, the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit, Michigan will not be played in 2020 along with the Bahamas Bowl, Hawaii Bowl, Redbox Bowl and the Celebration Bowl. They are all scheduled to return in 2021. It’s not be decided yet whether the Las Vegas Bowl will be played, a decision will be made in the near future.
