Decision day for four-star Gateway athlete and the top-rated recruit in the WPIAL Derrick Davis is coming this Saturday and Pittsburgh Sports Now will be broadcasting Davis’ decision.
PSN reporter Alan Saunders will be on hand on Saturday evening at 4 p.m. as Davis makes his decision and will have a live stream through our Pittsburgh Sports Live YouTube platform.
Davis will be deciding between LSU, Ohio State and Penn State, after recently narrowing his list from five schools to three and eliminating Georgia and Pitt.
Gateway’s Derrick Davis Eliminates Pitt; Down to Final Three
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound running back and safety first starting collecting offers back in 2017, when Pitt was his first. Since then, he’s added 32 more from all over the country, including some of the top schools in the nation such as Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State.
Davis is rated as the consensus No. 4 player in the state of Pennsylvania and is the No. 88 player in the country, according to 247 Sports Composite rankings.
If Davis chooses the Lions, he’ll be the second player in the WPIAL Class of 2021 to pick Penn State, joining North Allegheny tight end Khalil Dinkins.
