Pitt is hoping their recent run of success with Chris Beatty’s recruiting targets in Virginia continues with a highly rated junior that has announced an upcoming decision.
2022 4-star cornerback Tayon Holloway (6’1”, 175) from Green Run High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia is one of the top juniors defensive backs in the country with over 20 offers and tonight he narrowed that list down to six schools.
Holloway says that on Christmas Day, he will choose between Pitt, Penn State, North Carolina, Florida State, Virginia Tech and Maryland. Aside from those schools, Holloway also held offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, NC State, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Virginia.
Pitt was one of the first schools to Holloway as Chris Beatty actually offered him one year ago today.
In their current Class of 2021, Pitt has received commitments from three players from Virginia: WR Myles Alston, RB Malik Newton and RB Rodney Hammond.
