16 Pitt Players To Miss Today’s Game Due To COVID-19 Protocol

It was announced prior to this afternoon’s game against Virginia Tech that 16 Pitt players would not participate due to COVID-19 protocols.

No names of players have been announced but Brett McMurphy is reporting that of those 16 players, 7 of them are starters. Kenny Pickett and Jimmy Morrissey were warming up so those two players will be playing.

As soon as we get more information, we will update this story.

UPDATE (3:32 PM)-
**Freshman RB Israel Abanikanda will not play today.

UPDATE (3:22 PM)-
**Chris Peak from Pantherlair.com, is reporting that Jordan Addison, Jared Wayne, Gabe Houy, Carter Warren, Jake Kradel, SirVocea Dennis, Brandon Hill and Nick Patti will miss today’s game due to COVID-19 protocols.

UPDATE (3:05 PM)-

**Pitt will have their punter Kirk Christodoulou for today’s game.


UPDATE (2:35 PM)-

–Pitt starters reportedly taking part in warmups: Kenny Pickett, Jimmy Morrissey, Bryce Hargrove, Rashad Weaver, Patrick Jones and Alex Kessman.
