The 2021 ACC men’s basketball tournament will return to the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, where it left mid-even in 2020.
The 2021 version of the event was originally scheduled to be played at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision was made to switch years, with Washington getting the tournament in 2024 and Greensboro moving up to 2021.
“The ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament has enjoyed terrific experiences and hospitality at Capital One Arena,” said ACC Commissioner John Swofford. “We look forward to returning to Washington, D.C., and appreciate Greensboro for welcoming and accommodating us during these unique and challenging times.”
The 2022 tournament will be at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and the 2023 tournament will once again be played in Greensboro, which has hosted the event more than any other city.
In addition to New York, Washington and Greensboro, the tournament has also been held in Charlotte in recent years.
The 2021 ACC women’s basketball tournament will also be held at the Greensboro Coliseum.
