Pitt announced in advanced of its season opener on Wednesday that junior guard Ismini Prapa will miss the entire 2020-21 season with a knee injury and that senior center Marcella Lamark will miss a yet-to-be-determined amount of time due to visa issues.

Prapa, an Athens, Greece native, injured her knee in practice and has already surgery and is on track for a return for a 2021-22 season. She averaged 2.1 points per game and made 13 3-pointers as a key bench contributor at the guard position last season.

Prapa was expected to the primary backup to starter Dayshanette Harris at the point guard position for the Panthers this season.

Lamark has not been able to enter to the United States due to COVID-19 rules after returning to her native Brazil following the end of the 2019-20 season in March. She averaged 2.7 points and 1.4 rebounds per game as a significant contributor at the forward position in her first season with the Panthers after transferring from Texas Tech last season.

Lamark was expected to be a significant part of the rotation at center along with sophomore Rita Igbokwe and senior Cara Judkins at center.

The Panthers started their 2020-21 season with a noon tip off against George Mason on Wednesday.
