After adding three new players to their Class of 2021, Pitt has lost one member.
Inside linebacker Derrveron Maxwell-Black (St. Petersburg, Florida) announced today that he’s no longer committed to Pitt. It’s not clear yet what led to this announcement.

With this announcement, Pitt’s Class of 2021 is down to 22 members and two linebackers, Naquan Brown and Preston Lavant.
Maxwell-Black was originally recruited to Pitt by Rob Harley and committed to the Panthers back on June 25. Despite this move, Pitt is still ranked #19 by Rivals.
This becomes the second player to de-commit from this recruiting class, as Maxwell-Black joins Georgia linebacker Trevion Stevenson.
Meh, he’s expendable with Brown on board.
