Seniors Keyshon Camp, Damar Hamlin Not with Pitt for Georgia Tech Game

Pitt senior safety Damar Hamlin and senior defensive tackle Keyshon Camp are not with the team in Atlanta for Thursday night’s game against Georgia Tech, according to the travel roster released by the Panthers.

Hamlin and Camp are joined in their absence by senior defensive end Rashad Weaver. Weaver reportedly has opted out of the remainder of the season.

Hamlin and Weaver are expected to turn professional at the end of the season. Camp has been hampered by an injury for most of this season and his future status is uncertain.

Hamlin will likely be replaced by redshirt sophomore Erick Hallet. Camp had been in a rotation with four other players at defensive tackle, including Tyler Bentley, Devin Danielson, David Green and Calijah Kancey. A combination of Deslin Alexandre, Habakkuk Baldonado and John Morgan will likely replace weaver.

Also not traveling with the team for the Thursday night game are injured running back Todd Sibley Jr., tight end Lucas Krull and linebackers Wendell Davis and Leslie Smith.

Other scholarship players not in attendance include wide receiver Will Gipson, defensive ends Emmanuel Belgrave, Bam Brima and Sam Williams, offensive tackles Jason Collier, Liam Dick and Michael Statham.

None of Pitt’s players missed the trip due to COVID-19 protocols, the team announced.

TWO MISSED TACKLES SHORT oF THE GOAL LINE GAVE TECH 7 POINTS. Another dumb azz play call on third down cost pitt a first down inside the 5 at least, guess we want to give our kicker a lot of work in case there are any NFL scouts watching. 5-6 RECORD IF IT PLAYS OUT THAT WAY, some one should really have a hard face to face talk with the DUZZ, The talent on this team is at least 3-4 games better than our record if we lose tonight.
