Duquesne’s Atlantic-10 opener against Richmond has postponed as part of a continued interruption of the Dukes’ December schedule due to COVID-19 procedures.

The team announced earlier on Saturday that its non-conference games scheduled for Monday, Dec. 14 against Southern Illinois and Wednesday, Dec. 16 against Loyola-Chicago in Indianapolis had been canceled, with positive tests among the Duquesne staff coming in on Saturday, just before the team was set to leave for Indianapolis.

Richmond will be taking one of those non-conference games, playing Loyola in Indianapolis on Friday, Dec. 18.

As a result the Duquesne-Richmond A-10 opener scheduled for Dec. 19 at La Roche has been postponed, Richmond announced late on Saturday. A new date for the game has not been announced.

With the pair of cancellations and the postponement, Duquesne now does not have a game scheduled until Dec. 30, when the Dukes are set to visit St. Louis.
