Inconsistency, Injury Hurt Duquesne In 77-74 Loss at Toledo

The Duquesne women’s basketball team returned to the road, where it lost to Toledo Friday night by a 77-74 score.

Amanda Kalin set a new career high with her 32 points which came on 11-of-17 shooting. Additionally Laia Sole added 12 points and seven rebounds.

Duquesne (2-2) was outrebounded 43-29 including 17-7 on the offensive end, while its bench was held to six points.

Following the game Duquesne coach Dan Burt broke down the loss, what he feels is a lack of leadership with Libby Bazelak still out due to injury and his decision to have Duquesne return home prior to departing for Monday afternoon’s contest against Kent State.
