To say last season was a success for the Robert Morris football team would be a massive understatement and one which had the entire team buzzing even with its upcoming season being postponed to the spring.
Robert Morris posted a 7-5 record in 2019 a five win improvement from the previous campaign, which allowed RMU to secure its first winning season since 2010 and a 6-1 mark in the NEC. Coach Bernard Clark Jr. was named co-NEC Coach of the Year.
Energy remains high in Moon Town as Clark mentions below in a one-on-one chat with PSN’s Zachary Weiss after a day in which Robert Morris saw 14 players make early commitments. Among the topics of discussions were these commitments, recruiting during the COVID-19 pandemic, how changing to the Big South Conference affected the team’s mindset when looking for players and what RMU will do to prepare for its season opener Feb. 27 at James Madison.
