Pitt-Notre Dame Men’s Basketball Game Rescheduled for Jan. 30

There has been more re-arranging of the Pitt men’s basketball schedule for this season, as Pitt has announced on Friday that the Panthers game against Notre Dame has been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan 30 at Petersen Events Center.

The game will tip off at 8 p.m. and the game will be broadcasted on ACC Network. This game was originally scheduled to be played on Jan. 2 but was postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests at Pitt.

The Panthers were scheduled to host Florida State this Saturday at The Pete, but that was postponed due to COVID-19 problems in the Seminoles program.

Jeff Capel’s team is next scheduled to play Wednesday, Jan. 13 at Georgia Tech (8:30 p.m., ACC Network). That game was originally scheduled for Jan. 12, but was pushed back a day. The delay in-between games could allow Pitt to get Nike Sibande, John Hugley and Noah Collier back in their lineup. Those three players and assistant coach Jason Capel missed Wednesday’s win at Syracuse because of COVID-19 protocols.

A win would give the Panthers their first four-game road winning streak since the 2010-11 season.
