PSN Poll Question: Thoughts on New Duquesne Athletics Logo

Published

on

The Duquesne athletics department has a new look.

On Wednesday morning, Duquesne revealed that their new look would be symbolized by a Lion that would go along with the capital D, which has no doubt created much conversation.

This change in look is the latest attempt by the university to modernize the athletic department. In the last year, the basketball programs have changed uniforms, added the LeBron James basketball shoes and are in the process of finalizing the renovation of their new basketball arena, the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

Our PSN Poll Question today is what are your thoughts on the new look for Duquesne athletics.

What do you think of Duquesne's newest logo?

Since when does a lion wear a top hat? What does a duke have to do with a lion or vice versa, anyway? Amateur hour.

Since when do you put so much thought and criticism into a design? I like it. Its original.

It is original, I’ll give you that. But the reason no other school beat them to a lion-in-a-top-hat logo design is…because it’s kinda stupid.

What’s with the Lion? Knowing that may guide my opinion.

I believe there’s a lion on the Duquesne crest. Other than that… not a whole lot of lions in college sports. Maybe they just wanted to be unique.

That design team straight stole the money they were paid to come up with a new branding.

Worse than Dino-cat.
